All Pewter apps
Terms of Service
These terms apply to every Shopify app published by Jackson Rowley, doing business as Pewter ("Pewter", "we", "us"), including Pewter: Tag Lock (each an "App"). By installing or using an App, you ("you", the merchant) agree to these terms and to Shopify's Terms of Service.
1. The service
Each App is provided as a subscription service for your Shopify store. We may improve, change or remove features over time. If we plan to discontinue an App, we'll give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the App.
2. Billing
- Paid plans are billed through Shopify, on your Shopify invoice, at the price shown when you approve the charge.
- Free trials last for the period shown in the App. You aren't charged if you uninstall before the trial ends.
- You can cancel any time by uninstalling the App. Charges already billed are not refunded, except where required by law or at our discretion.
- If we change a price, existing subscribers will be told in advance and asked to approve the new charge through Shopify.
3. Your responsibilities
- Use the Apps lawfully and in line with Shopify's policies.
- Keep your store's settings accurate, including the customer tags you rely on for access.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Apps or their servers.
4. What the Apps can and can't do
Some features change what your storefront shows, for example hiding prices, buy buttons, products or pages. Hiding is cosmetic: the hidden information can still be present in your page's code and may be visible to a determined visitor. Only features described as enforced (such as Tag Lock's checkout blocking and Protected content block) are designed to prevent access, and they rely on Shopify's platform working as documented. Don't use hiding to protect confidential information.
5. Your data
You own your store's data. We handle it as described in each App's privacy policy, such as the Tag Lock privacy policy.
6. No warranty
The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Apps will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will meet every requirement of your business.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pewter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, sales or data, arising from your use of the Apps. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 3 months before the claim.
8. Ending use
You can stop using an App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or if required by Shopify or by law. After uninstalling, your data is deleted as described in the App's privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use an App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
